Between 1999-2000, BLP members helped co-found the London and Munich based global tech company GoIndustry.
Within months of launching GoIndustry, the co founders were instrumental in achieving at the time, the seemingly impossible; the World’s first successful online auction sale of used industrial plastics machines and ancillaries of its kind. BLP founders were amongst the chief architects in the BG Electrical sale event.
The on-line auction sale involved the asset sale and disposal of British General Electric’s entire injection moulding manufacturing facility in Kent, England.
The online auction sales made history with 73% of the equipment selling online to 26 clients from 13 countries, with a total sales value of over £1.5M
Member of BLP were involved in the planning and designing of the on-line sales auction bidding process, from planning, process design, equipment cataloguing, and execution of the event from concept to project close out. This entire end to end process included the listing, complication and description itemization of every machine, downstream equipment, ancillaries and parts, individual and collective machine evaluation, detailed chronological technical description of each item, inspection and testing of each item, photography, auction platform design, online bidding algorithms, search engine optimization (a new concept at the time to help clients find the event online), sales event structure and design, offline sales brochures and marketing materials, live video streaming, live client chat (clients could ask questions during the auction event), independent third party inspections, machinery and equipment loading, craneage, containerization, documentation, insurance and finance, shipping and logistics, off loading, siting, installation, commissioning and testing.
Go-Industry grew to become one of the most successful leading connecting international buyers and sellers of Industrial equipment, construction and mining, forestry and chemicals processing and production machinery.
